Interview with journalist Isabelle Calabre, Maxime Houot, and Rachid Ouramdane at the Grand Studio du Pavillon Noir on Sat. 27. at 4:30pm. Free, open to all.

Ataraxiecan mean “peace of mind”, or a state of happiness arising from voluntary control or limitation of one’s own needs.
In this new installation, Maxime Houot asks what this means in a rapidly changing post-pandemic world. An array of lasers tracing beams of red light first form simple crosses, before building up complex, tesseract-like structures.

In this expanding world, where do we choose to stop?

Since 2013, Maxime Houot has created numerous sound and visual pieces presented on the international scene. Exploring the limits of his own perception, he deploys a practice that is both artisanal and conceptual. Most of his creations are produced by the company Collectif Coin.

Based in Grenoble (France), Collectif Coin is an artistic laboratory dedicated to producing both monumental and intimate installations and performances. Resolutely transdisciplinary and rooted in the digital arts, Collectif Coin mainly manipulates light, sound and the body.
