In order to enable the exchange of different artistic perspectives, foster lasting ties between Quebec artists and writers and their French counterparts, and thereby contribute to the development of these creators’ artistic approaches, CHRONIQUES has signed an agreement for artist exchanges and workshop residencies under the sponsorship of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec between Quebec and Marseille in the field of digital arts.
After two successful editions, we are excited to launch this third year of cross-residency, with the same format.
As part of this exchange, a French curator or digital artist will be given two months to conduct research and reflection on topics related to digital technology.
The residency is taking place at Productions Recto-Verso, which organises the Mois Multi festival in Quebec City (QC-CA). At the same time, a Quebec artist or curator will be welcomed in Marseille by CHRONIQUES as part of the Biennale des Imaginaires Numériques.

In 2024, Georges Félicité benefited from his residency at Recto-Verso to continue his work on heritage and identity and to take the pulse of the cultural dynamism of the Quebec art scene during Mois Multi.
In 2026, Maureen Béguin traveled to Quebec City to participate in Recto-Verso’s MTB#9 Nouvelle_Mise_à_Jour project, a multi-chapter “collage” performance exploring our love-hate relationship with digital technology.
