Since time immemorial, the themes of ascent and fall have permeated human mythology, as exemplified by Icarus, who brought about his own downfall by overstepping boundaries. The artist conceives of these narratives as illustrations of our dysfunctional relationships with the world. He draws inspiration from them to translate the looming collapse of civilization into sculpture and imagery.
