Some points of view lay claim to absolute truth; should we trust them ?<\/p>\n\n<p>To depict these everyday questions, Olivier Ratsi uses, across a space of 500 square meters, two main aesthetic techniques linked to our perception of space: perspective \u2013 formalized in the Quattrocento \u2013 and anamorphosis, whose first artistic traces can be found in China during the Ming period (14th century).<\/p>\n\n<p>Following other artistic influences, this journey evokes Newton. He lives and works in Montreuil.<\/p>\n\n<p>He designs works that catalyze points of view, cultural and psycho- logical references in order to highlight the singularity of the expe- rience of reality interpretation. Mainly known for its immersive ins- tallations, Olivier Ratsi develops devices aimed at destructuring and then reconstructing subjective reality.<\/p>\n\n<p>His artistic journey took shape at the end of the 1990s, when he produced audiovisual performances and VJing for the rave and electro scene. From the 2000s, he initiates a reflection around the notion of spatio-temporal deconstruction, which he concretizes in photographic projects of destructuring of architectures and urban landscapes.<\/p>\n\n<p>In 2007, he co-founded the visual collective AntiVJ with other visual artists, with whom he will initiate, on a global scale, the very first audiovisual performances using the mapping technique.
