EDIS – Fond de dotation

Invested in a mission of general interest, the EDIS endowment fund is dedicated to supporting innovative creation – that which emerges from the meeting of the arts, technologies and sciences – and to making it known to as many people as possible. Its objective is to better understand the contemporary issues of our digital society, through the artistic expressions and poetic vision of each artist. At a time when creative practices follow one another and hybridize at an accelerated rate, often outside of traditional disciplines, EDIS is attentive to these emerging forms, to these new media that invite us to re-evaluate our sometimes very conventional understanding of the world.

Located at La Friche La Belle de Mai in Marseille since 1992, the AMI is a general interest structure for artists (musicians and polymaths), cultural entrepreneurs and residents of the metropolitan and regional area. The association offers a pathway to professionalization composed of several devices:

– transmission/ professionalization (workshops and masterclasses, incubator and entrepreneurial formations).
– creation/ distribution (co-productions, residencies, Hip-Hop Society)
– cooperation/networking (export and international residencies via European projects and international cooperation).

These different tools aim to allow artists in our territory to develop their artistic careers in a sustainable way by linking them to their ecosystem (public and operators).  The AMI is therefore the place to welcome artists in the making or confirmed thanks to the work spaces offered by its 6 creation studios (including an ERP of 100 m2 with an equipped stage) but also a place to accompany and welcome the cultural entrepreneurs of tomorrow via its platform Dynamo (resource place, training, advice, coworking).

Possible residencies:  All year long according to the needs of the projects.

Resources: Creation residencies, co-production, career development strategy consulting, workshops and thematic training, socio-professional environment of the artist, stage work.
